Google Authenticator is a two-step verification process (also known as 2FA or two-factor authentication) whereby a user is asked to provide a one-time six-digit code every time he or she signs into his/her account.
At The CryptalDash Exchange, you have the option to enable Google Authenticator or disable it, as we will show below.
Enable Google Authenticator in Your Exchange Account
1. Log in to https://exchange.cryptaldash.com
2. Click Profile under the Settings tab located at the top right corner of the site.
3. On the Profile page, go to the Security section. Click the Enable button beside the Google Authenticator.
4. A Google Two-Factor Authentication window will pop up. Download the Google Authenticator app to your phone and scan the QR Code or enter the provided key.
After installing the app ion your phone, enter the six-digit code generated by Google Authenticator.
E.g. 064677
Then enter your password and click Verify.
You will be logged out of the Exchange if the verification is successful.
IMPORTANT: Please create a backup copy of your recovery key. This is will help you recover your Google 2FA for the Exchange.
5. Fill the login fields and click Login.
6. After clicking the Login button, a Google Two-Factor Authentication window will pop-up. Enter the 6-digit code from your Google Authenticator app and click Verify.
Once the verification is successful you will be redirected to your dashboard at the Exchange.
Disable Google Authenticator in Your Exchange Account
1. Log in to https://exchange.cryptaldash.com. Enter the 6-digit code generated by your Google Authenticator app. Once successful, you will be redirected to your dashboard.
2. Click Profile under Settings located at the top right corner of the site.
3. On the Profile page, go to the Security section. Click the Disable button next to Google Authenticator.
4. A window will pop up and ask you for a six-digit code. Enter the 6-digit code from your Google Authenticator app, enter your password, and click the Verify button.
5. Once verification is successful, you will be logged out of your Exchange account.
