Market Depth or Order Book is an important feature of The CryptalDash Exchange.
It keeps a record of all pending orders. Traders consult it when making decisions about buying or selling instruments based on going prices and available volumes.
To begin:
1. Click on a trading pair on the Watchlist, the corresponding Market Depth will pull up.
In this example, the venue is The CryptalDash Exchange (CRP) and the trading pair is CRDBTC.
2. Look at the Watchlist and Market Depth and examine these labeled items.
Last Traded Price
Best Bid Price
Best Offer Price
Let's define each one of them.
Last Traded Price is the price of the trade that last occurred or the most recent match or fill transaction. By match, it is when the buy and sell orders are at the same price.
In the example, the last traded price is 0.00000182 BTC.
Best Bid Price, accompanied by the Best Bid Volume, is the highest quoted BUY Price. In the example, the best bid is from someone who wants to buy 42873 CRD at 0.00000182 BTC.
Best Offer Price is the lowest quoted SELL price. It is also accompanied by the best offer volume reflected on the Watchlist.
Based on the example, someone wants to sell 80000 CRD for 0.00000247 BTC.
3. Read. So when you look at the Watchlist, the figure in green is the Best Bid (BUY), the figure in red is the Best Offer Price (SELL), and the last figure as yellow in the example is the Last Traded Price.
